AccountRight Live

We’re a couple of months into the AccountRight Live Pilot Program – time enough to get a good idea of how AccountRight Live is working in Australian and New Zealand businesses.

And the feedback we’ve received so far? It’s been really positive. The more our pilot participants use AccountRight Live, the more they enjoy the experience – and importantly, the more they recognise the possibilities that working in the cloud can bring. Here’s what some of our participants have been saying:

Quotes from our surveys

“The ease of using the program and the […] convenience of being live will save everyone involved time and money not having to visit site. The use for Bookkeeping practices will far exceed the current. Love it!”

“Have so far no problems with the system and love the idea of being able to access at a different computer e.g. laptop.”

“This version of MYOB seems to be quicker than previous versions. There are fewer errors. The reports are not timing out and I like the fact that the file is held externally and I do not need to move file from folders to access it when I am on the go.”

“Has a similar feel to previous versions of MYOB so am getting to grips with it quickly but there are a few data entry niggles that need sorting to make it quick & easy to load data. Love the fact that I can be at work or at home & still work on the data!”

“This version is a much faster and smoother program than the pc standalone program. It is exactly the system I have been searching for. I have been using MYOB for over 16 years now and this is the one. Congratulations on a job well done. Once the minor bugs have been sorted, it will be even better, and your support guys are terrific. Thank you.”

How does MYOB use pilot feedback?

Every single piece of feedback we receive from our pilot participants – whether good, bad, or indifferent – is considered, collated, compared, and put to good use. How? Here’s a quick rundown:

Product Development: This is an obvious one. Information we receive about performance and design is collected and discussed weekly (if not daily). While only some of the information is acted on immediately, all of it is catalogued for future reference and action. Many of the ideas and proposed changes are already known; while some are brand new to us. These new ones are sent to both internal and external workgroups, who then make recommendations on what needs to be worked on next.

Public Relations: The PR team keeps a close eye on what people are saying, and feed information back to the executive team. That way senior MYOB management has a snapshot of how our customers are viewing our progress; not just information from our internal teams. PR also takes a snapshot of pilot participant sentiment, to inform press releases and media stories.

Marketing: This is a big one – almost as important as product development. The marketing team’s decisions on how to position AccountRight Live come from a number of sources; however the main two are from quantitative and qualitative research, and from – you guessed it – pilot feedback. Survey responses and forum discussion play a big part in helping the marketing team shape what, where, and how we position, advertise, and describe AccountRight Live.

Technical Support: The tech support team keeps a close eye on survey feedback, as it provides first-person information on any issues with AccountRight Live. Logically, if participants are having problems, other people may experience the same problems. And if they are issues that are inherent with the service, tech support needs to work on ways to make the service work as simply and efficiently as possible.

There are plenty of other divisions and departments that use the feedback: the accountants division, the partner team, our online team… it’s safe to say that if you’re on the AccountRight Live Pilot or thinking about joining it, your information is valuable and important to us!
