What a massive start we’ve had to 2012 – and it’s only March. We’re stoked to have delivered improvements in banking like partial payments, bank transfers and notes – hope you’re finding these areas much easier to use!
On top of all this, we’ve been super busy getting payroll ready for the Kiwi version of LiveAccounts, which we plan to release in time for the new financial year. You can read more about the payroll functionality further on in this newsletter.
We’re also working on an update to the Aussie version of payroll which will include things like annual and sick leave entitlements, opening balances, printing or emailing individual payslips, payment summaries and more. You’ll hear more about these developments soon.
Next off the blocks is invoicing. We’ve got some big plans and we’d love input from real-life users to make sure we’re on the right track. If you’d like to get involved in improving the invoicing in LiveAccounts for everyone, just send your details to me at ideas@liveaccounts.com.
Be sure to keep an eye out for our client satisfaction survey which will be coming out soon. Your feedback is important to us so please find 30 seconds to tell us what you think. And if you can’t wait for the survey, please visit the LiveAccounts Community Forum to have your say or to ask a question.

Hi there.
When will we be able to do quotes in Live Accounts?
I have requested this a few times and nothing seems to have happened..
This would be a great addition to the program.

Agree, quotes need to be added. Not all quotes end up as invoices however a quote is usually the first step to a job. A key thing currently missing from the product.

Hi,
We are taking a 2nd look at everything invoice related over the next few months. So we have some exciting improvements and added features for you, and this includes quotes.
Thanks

Quote feature cant come fast enough. Even if it were simply an exact copy of invoice system, with a one click option tpo change the headings from “invoice” to “quote” just to get everyone out of trouble as a temporary patch. NEEDED ASAP, especially when this is achievable in other programs ie. Xero.

Thanks Phill for your feedback. We know quoting is important and it will be released as soon as we have it available. It is VERY high on our radar

Hi Richard,
Do you have any update on when we should expect quoting functionality in Live Accounts? Last comment was August 2012, now it’s April 2013.
Thanks,
Andrew.

Thanks Pip for your great comments.
Transfer is a huge time saver. Completing transfers on my personal LiveAccounts account was a huge task and now it takes less than 5 seconds a transaction.

Need more Overtime categories. Poor Restaurants practically have to work out the whole Payroll in Excel then enter it.

Hi Karyn,
The Dev team have just started on this feature. You will be able to add extra overtime / pay rates (ie weekday, Sat or Sun) in a similar manner as adding allowances.
I am hoping this will be deployed in approx 3-4 weeks. From what you have said, I hope you will be able to retire excel for your payroll calcs

I’d like to see more space available in the notes section on invoices please.
This would be very beneficial to my day to day operations of mu business.

Hi,
Same question regarding the quotes in live accounts, this would be a great tool to use with the program.
Is there any possibility of this happening in the near future?

What would help me a lot is if the qty field allowed more than 2 decimal places. I need at least 4 to do accurate invoicing, i.e. 1.5213 @ $1000 = $1521.30

Hi Morne,
As part of the new and improved invoicing, we will be looking at expanding the qty fields to most probably 4 decimal points. Keep an eye on the LiveAccounts forum as we will post updates to how we are going with the invoice improvements. http://community.myob.com/t5/MYOB-LiveAccounts/ct-p/LiveA

Hi,
How soon do you envisage entitlement tracking will be added to the Aussie version of MYOB live accounts? I have noticed that this is earmarked for the Kiwi version.
Thanks

Good Morning Mandy,
We are at present working on both the AU and NZ versions of Payroll leave entitlements. We have been delayed as the new AU feature for businesses within the building and construction industry (Taxable Reportable Payments) took a little longer than expected.
We are currently regression testing these new features plus the 2012/2013 Payroll tax tables and we plan to have these deployed this week and the team will then be focussed on Payroll entitlements.
Thanks

Hi there. I’m just starting to use live accounts and was wondering whether the capacity to automate the raising of periodic invoices was being considered? It would certainly help with selling subscription services!

Hi Philip,
Sorry for the long delay in responding
My bad. Recurring invoicing is on our list of things we will include when the team tackle the broader invoice feature. I am also excited as we are nearing the end of Payroll leave entitlements and some of the team are already devoting their time to invoicing.
No eta yet on when you will get recurring invoices at this stage but I am hoping not too long.
Stay tuned.

Hi There,
I have been using liveaccounts for a couple of months now and have the following issues, that I know you can easily rectify:
1. Cannot email Statements directly from MYOB as I cannot select my own Statement, we can only send the default Statement, also a Payee Number is required and I don’t want to use Bank Feeds so I dont need one.
2. Command Centre cannot be resized and it is too big for my laptop screen.
3. Laptop Screen Issue also – Invoices have only 3 or 4 lines visible, some of our invoices have about 50 lines so I would like to see at least 10.
Thanks it is great to have an online database.
