Date to be confirmed
This release will include all the ATO changes required for making your software compliant for the 2014 payroll year. The 2013 compliance update will be available for download soon, and this page will be updated with instructions on how to get it.
In the meantime, there are some things you can do to prepare.
Make sure you enter all your transactions for the 2012-13 financial year – this includes money going out, coming in, or moving between the accounts in your software.
To keep your data safe, we recommend you back up your company files before rolling over to the new year. See your software help for more information.
It’s important that you're always operating on the latest version of MYOB software and we recommend that you check this before the compliance update is made available.
If you're using AccountRight, make sure you've registered for updates in your software and checked for updates using your software manager. To find out how to do this, see our step by step instructions.
Once the compliance release is made available you'll be notified via your e-mail, this webpage and through our monthly newsletter in June.
Please note the 2013 compliance update will only be available for subscribers to MYOB Cover or AccountRight Live. To find out if you have an active support subscription, or to purchase one now visit our Updates and Upgrades section.
Want to be notified when the 2013 compliance update is released?
If you’re using LiveAccounts, there’s no need to do anything.
LiveAccounts is automatically upgraded, meaning that all the latest tax changes from the ATO are included and your data is already backed up.
So you can kick back and relax, or check out our suggested tasks for the end of financial year.
These instructions are applicable if you are using a version of MYOB AccountRight or MYOB Accounting earlier than version 19.
To make your software compliant for the 2012-2013 year, you'll need to install a new version of AccountRight and then upgrade your company file to be compatible with the new features. Follow the steps below to install the compliance release.
Open your software and go to Help > About.
You can find your software serial number in the Company Information window of your company file, or on the original documentation you received when you purchased AccountRight.
These Release Notes contain full instructions for downloading, installing and upgrading your software to AccountRight v19.7.
As an MYOB Cover member with AccountRight Plus installed, you are entitled to upgrade to AccountRight Plus 2012 now, if you choose.
Also, because the closing of a payroll and financial year can be stressful and time-consuming, we recommend you update to the newer version later this year, when we release AccountRight Live.
AccountRight Live gives you the ability to work on the desktop, or in the cloud, or both! And if you upgrade then, we'll be able to give you all the support you need to get to know your new software.
When you've installed the update, you're ready to complete your end of year processes and then load the new tax tables. After that, your software is compliant and you're able to process pays in the 2013 payroll year. For information about:
