This release includes all the ATO changes required for making your software compliant for the 2012-2013 payroll year. These instructions are for users of AccountRight v19.

• Check which version of AccountRight v19 you are using

   

  Open your software and go to Help > About.

• I'm using AccountRight v19.6

   

  Follow these steps to install the v19.7 compliance update using Software Manager (recommended)*.

  1. Close AccountRight and other programs.
  2. Go to the Windows start menu and click Software Updates. (If this option is not available, click All Programs > MYOB > AccountRight > Check for updates.) Software Manager opens.
  3. Select the version 19.7 update file in the list and click Install.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions.
  5. Repeat on each computer you have AccountRight v19.6 on.

  * I'm not registered for updates

  If you aren't already registered for updates, go to the AccountRight Help menu and choose Updates > Register for Updates. Enter your software serial number in the window that appears, and click Register for Updates. Your software will then be registered with the update server, which can take a short while. You'll need to check for updates again later.

• I'm using AccountRight v19.0 or v19.5

   

  If you haven't previously installed the v19.6 update, you can skip it and go straight to v19.7. There's a special procedure for doing this. See AccountRight Release Notes - Compliance 2012.You need to log in to my.MYOB to get the update. Watch a video about this in the Video tab of this page (coming soon).

  Note: To log in to my.MYOB, you need to be a primary contact on the MYOB account. There's also help on the my.MYOB site if you've forgotten your sign-in details.

• Can I upgrade to AccountRight Plus 2012?

   

  As an MYOB Cover member with AccountRight Plus installed, you are entitled to upgrade to AccountRight Plus 2012 now, if you choose. However, due to the significant changes to AccountRight Plus 2012, there are quite a few extra tasks you’ll need to do to upgrade. You can read about them in this support note, or read the Release Notes.

  Also, because the closing of a payroll and financial year can be stressful and time-consuming, we recommend you update to the newer version later this year, when we release AccountRight Live.

  AccountRight Live gives you the ability to work on the desktop, or in the cloud, or both! And if you upgrade then, we'll be able to give you all the support you need to get to know your new software.

• What to do next

   

  Once you've installed the update, you're ready to complete your end of year processes and then load the new tax tables. After that, your software is compliant and your able to process pays in the 2013 payroll year. For information about:
