MYOB offers data file repair, serial removal and password recovery services to clients to help them get back up and running as quickly as possible.
If your data file has become corrupt and you do not have a valid back-up you can request the data file repair service.
Essentially Datafile corruption means your company file contains incorrect information. This may have been caused by network or environment related issues. If your data file is corrupt you may be experiencing following error messages. Please click on each error message to learn more about them.
To check if your company file is corrupt, we recommend that you run the following two diagnostic utilities. These utilities will check your company file for any structural damages and data integrity.
Important - To ensure the results are correct, we recommend that you perform these processes only while your company file is stored on the local hard drive of the computer.
If you cannot optimise or verify your company file successfully, your data file may be corrupt and you will need to restore your most recent backup. If you do not have a valid backup you can request your data file to be repaired.
Important - Repairing data files is a complex procedure and therefore we cannot guarantee that we will be able to repair your file or that all data will be retrieved.

* The Premium data repair service endeavors to repair your data file within 24 hours of receipt. Sometimes data problems may be complex and cannot be resolved within 24 hours, however if this is the case, you will be contacted by MYOB. Cost of this service is based on the service you choose, your data file version and if you have MYOB Support Plan.

* Each file submitted will be charged one fixed Analysis & per hour repair charge. If a file can’t be repaired or it does not have any errors, then only the analysis fee will be charged.

From time to time, it may happen that a password previously entered into a company file becomes unknown. This may be due to changes in staff or due to the password being mistyped at the time it was set.
To overcome this issue, a Password Removal is required. You must send your company file to MYOB Australia for this task to be undertaken.
We may be able to extract or reset the password on your data file. Our ability to extract or reset the password depends on the version of the data file.
We can now offer you two options for this service based on your requirement.

Having an incorrect serial number embedded in your company file will cause issues with product activation and confirmation. For more information on product activation and confirmation, please refer to Product Activation FAQs.
Your data file may contain incorrect serial number due to following reasons.
To overcome this issue, you can choose to send your company file to MYOB Australia to perform a serial number removal service. Once we have completed this service, you will be able activate your data file with correct serial number.
