In 2008 MYOB UK Limited sold the MYOB UK business division in the United Kingdom to Mamut Software. As part of this sale and MYOB’s exit from the UK market it was planned to sunset all previous MYOB UK products* at the end of 2011.
However MYOB Technology Pty Ltd has received a number of requests from continuing users of these products for an extension of this date.
Mamut has advised MYOB that it has no objection to MYOB continuing to provide Activation & Confirmation functions beyond 31 December 2011. Therefore this function will continue to allow users more time to make transition arrangements to alternative software.
It is important that you take action to plan your transition to a replacement accounting system – one that will continue to be supported and updated for the changing needs of British businesses.
Note: The MYOB products still being developed and marketed in Australia and New Zealand by MYOB Limited are not suitable for UK/Ireland business conditions. The MYOB UK data format is different to the format used in Australia and New Zealand.
* MYOB UK products refers to the UK specific versions of – MYOB Accounting, MYOB BusinessBasics, MYOB Accounting Plus, and MYOB Premier and MYOB badged versions of these Mac products – FirstEdge and AccountEdge.
