LiveAccounts Release Notes

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- We’ve added a new General Journals page, where you can view, edit or delete journal entries. Before, you could only view and edit journal entries that included a bank account.
- You can now split an employee’s pay between two bank accounts. When you pay their wages, both bank transactions will be automatically matched to the LiveAccounts wages transaction.
- While you’re viewing an invoice or expense, you can now easily display all of the bank transactions that have been matched to the current transaction.
- You can now add a short name (up to six characters) for each of your bank accounts. This helps you to easily identify and sort your transactions in the Banking screen.
- Your company’s logo is now automatically included on your employees’ payslips.
- To make sure LiveAccounts runs as quickly and smoothly as possible, we’ve made lots of major performance improvements across a range of areas.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. This release includes a significant addition to the New Zealand version of LiveAccounts: Payroll. Here are some of the new features included:
- We’ve added a Payroll button to the top menu bar on the homepage. This is where you access the pay centre, employee information and payroll reports.
- LiveAccounts now calculates PAYE and KiwiSaver contributions every time you do a pay run.
- You can now use LiveAccounts to record information about your employees, including their start date, address, IRD number and KiwiSaver details.
- You can record payroll-related details for each of your employees, such as their tax code, any taxable and non-taxable additions or deductions you need to include in their pay, and their KiwiSaver contribution rate. These details will be automatically factored into the calculations whenever you do a pay run.
- Several new payroll reports have been added to the Reports list. These allow you to view details of past pay runs and payslips, and give you the information you need to complete your monthly IRD returns.
- When you complete a pay run, your accounts will be automatically updated for you.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- You can now view your list of bank transactions by date, across all of your accounts. This makes it easier to compare transactions between accounts and helps give you a better view of your total banking activity over time.
- You can now edit the GST type and amount of your transactions directly in the Banking screen. You’ll no longer need to drill down into a transaction to adjust the GST.
- It’s now possible to include letters in the bank account number you use for your payment terms.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- You can now match partial payments directly to your LiveAccounts transactions. For example, if a customer makes a payment for part of their invoice, you can now match the payment directly to the invoice.
- LiveAccounts can now automatically identify and match transfers between your bank accounts, so you no longer need to enter a manual bank transfer transaction.
- We’ve made it easier to deal with auto-matched and auto-allocated transactions. You can now unmatch or unallocate transactions directly from the Bank transactions page, allowing you to allocate them later, or choose a different account or transaction.
- We’ve improved the date and account filters on the Transaction history screen, making it easier for you to view your transactions.
- To help you keep track of your journal entries, you’re now required to include a note or some narration when recording a journal entry.
- When you match a bank transaction to a General Journal transaction, the transaction details window will now display the correct description of the journal transaction.
- We’ve fixed a problem affecting Internet Explorer 9 users, which caused the calendar on the report filter screen to display incorrectly.
- You can now include special characters in your LiveAccounts business name.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- You can now add a note to any of your bank transactions. This addition also means you can now search for a note among your bank transactions, and any notes you add will appear in the General Ledger Details report.
- It’s now possible to allocate invoices and expenses to any of your LiveAccounts accounts. Before, you could only allocate these to your income or expense accounts.
- We’ve improved the way partial payments are matched. Now, if an invoice has been matched to a partial payment, the payment for the remaining balance can be auto-matched to the invoice.
- It’s now easier to allocate transactions that have been auto-matched by LiveAccounts. You can now simply choose an account directly from the Bank transactions page, or set the transaction to be allocated later.
- We’ve streamlined the Withdrawal and Deposit Details windows, so you can now see all options for allocating, splitting and matching a transaction without switching between tabs.

- You can now choose to override the default tax rate or GST code when setting up an auto allocation rule. For example, you might want to use a non-GST tax rate when auto allocating overseas transactions.
- We’ve added some new options to the Banking menu, giving you easier access to the Transaction history and Bank reconciliation screens.
- We have improved the auto-matching engine so that transactions will now only be auto-matched to payments made after the transaction date.
- You can now use special characters like ” ‘ “ , ” & ” and ” – “ in your Item codes and Item descriptions.

- You can now add a contact ‘on the fly’ when creating an invoice or an expense.
- We’ve updated the form required to link a bank account or credit card to LiveAccounts so it’s easier to use.
- It’s now easier to reset your password if you ever need to. And you can now reset it any time you need to without assistance from support.
- We’ve changed the LiveAccounts sign up page so it’s easier to define when your transactions will commence from.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- We’ve improved the General Ledger Details report so you can select an account or range of accounts to view or print. LiveAccounts will also remember your selections for the next time you view this report.
- In the Banking area you can now select All Accounts from the Bank Account picklist, making it easy to search across all of your bank transactions.
- If you have linked a bank account or import your bank transactions, you will now be able to click directly through to view any unallocated bank transactions from your LiveAccounts homepage.
- LiveAccounts now remembers if your invoices are to include or exclude GST, and uses this by default the next time you create an invoice.
- When selecting to view Unpaid Invoices, any upaid invoices that haven’t been sent will be displayed too.
- As a safety precaution, you can no longer delete any LiveAccounts accounts that have items, allocation rules or bank feeds assigned to them.
- We’ve added a new button to save you time by allowing you to save your current invoice and create a new one without returning to the Invoices page.
- We’ve made some general performance improvements to help LiveAccounts run faster for you.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release
- To make setting up new Contacts easier and faster, you no longer need to specify a contact code.
- When importing contacts, you can now import more than one contact with the same last name.
- We have improved the Expense History area so more detail is displayed for supplier payments.
- For our Aussie clients using the Payroll functionality, a new detailed report is available. This report allows you to review payrun information for a specific date range and/or employee.
- In the Banking area, you will now be presented with the dropdown picklist when you hover over an Allocate me transaction. This will help speed up the allocation process.
- You can now record a historical invoice (so you can match it to a payment received in the current period for example) and it won’t impact your current Debtors balance.
- We’ve improved the way you send invoices to multiple recipients by adding some on screen help, adding a Cc (carbon copy) field as well as automatically Bcc (blind carbon copying) you too.
- For our LiveAccounts Advisors, we have modified how clients who are no longer using LiveAccounts are displayed in your My Clients list – so you can see they’re no longer active.
- From a display perspective, we have improved the way LiveAccounts displays vertically so those of you with larger monitors can see more of LiveAccounts. This is great in the Banking area for example when viewing large transaction listings.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- We have dramatically improved the performance of several every-day processes such as displaying the Contacts picklist, calling up the allocation picklist, searching and saving invoices.
- You can now display or print a Payroll summary report, by date range, in the Aussie version.
- We have resolved a problem several clients were experiencing in not being able to successfully email an invoice through their mail server.
- For our Mac clients using Firefox, your invoices and reports now display and print correctly.

- We’ve added a new noticeboard to your LiveAccounts homepage, so we can keep you up to date with important messages about new features, future outages, and tips for using LiveAccounts more effectively.
- You can now include high-resolution logos on your invoices. Get started now by uploading (or re-uploading) your high-resolution logo to LiveAccounts. To find out how, check out our next newsletter or contact support.
- It’s now possible to include quantities of less than one on your sales invoices.
- We’ve fixed a display problem that caused items and account allocations to not appear on saved invoices, for some clients.
- Bank transactions can now be matched to invoices that were raised in a previous period that is now locked, without requiring you to unlock the period.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- We’ve added two new bank reconciliation reports. You can now produce a summary of each reconciliation, as well as a detailed report listing the reconciled transactions.
- You can now undo the most recent bank reconciliation on each account. If you need to undo an earlier reconciliation, you can repeat the process until you undo the required reconciliation.
- To help you better manage your bank transactions in LiveAccounts, we’ve added the ability to delete any electronic bank statements you’ve imported.
- We’ve made major improvements to the Bank transactions page, including removing the Next 25 button. This page now shows all transactions for the filters you choose, and any sorting or searching you do on this page now applies to all transactions listed. We’ve also improved the performance on this page so your transactions will appear faster than before.
- To make it easier for you to enter transactions when you’re reconciling your accounts, we’ve added links to the Spend money and Receive money pages to the Bank reconciliation page. When you’re done entering transactions, you’ll be returned to the Bank reconciliation page where you can continue the reconciliation.

- We’ve made extensive improvements to the Bank Reconciliation area. You can now develop a bank rec for a date in the past, save a bank rec, display unreconciled and reconciled entries, select how many transactions you would like to see per screen and more.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- For our Aussie clients, you can now delete an employee’s pay run details if you make a mistake. This will delete the pay transaction for that employee, as well as their payslip.
- For our Aussie clients, if you manually change the calculated PAYG amount, the take-home pay amount will calculate correctly.
- We’ve added the ability to lock periods in the current financial year.
- We have improved the export facility (to MYOB Accountants Office and MYOB Accountants Enterprise) to cater for alphanumeric account codes.

- For Aussie clients, the GST tracker on the homepage has been fixed so now shows the business’s current GST obligation.
- On a slower internet connection, several clients found they were unable to save an invoice due to the system finding the invoice reference number already in use. This has been resolved.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- We’ve made some major layout improvements to the Trial Balance report
- To make the Banking screen easier to read and understand, the text included in auto-feed bank transactions has been streamlined.
- We’ve made improvements to the Sales, Expenses, Transaction History screens and Reconcile Bank Transactions screens so you only need to click once to access an entry on these screens. This makes LiveAccounts easier to use on iPads and Android tablets, though you’ll still need to use the two-fingered scrolling motion to review picklists on these devices.
- Where there are multiple possible matches available for a transaction on the Banking screen, you’ll now be prompted to choose which one is correct.
- To help our New Zealand clients, we’ve made the GST Adjustment accounts mandatory, and any amounts posted to these accounts will now appear at box 9 or 13 on your GST Return.
- Advisors can now lock periods in the current year.
- We’ve added a new option to the Payroll menu so you can access the Pay Centre from the menu bar.
- We’ve made some improvements to assist clients using new browsers such as Firefox 5 and Internet Explorer 9, who may have been experiencing problems with sessions ending unexpectedly.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. This release includes a significant addition to the Aussie version of LiveAccounts, payroll (the Kiwi version is due for release in September). Outlined below are the details of this new functionality.
- We have added a Payroll button to the top menu bar on the homepage. This is where you access Payroll, your employees’ information and the payroll reports.
- LiveAccounts now includes functionality to calculate the PAYG and superannuation contributions of your or your employees’ pay.
- Details such as employee start date, address, tax file number, superfund details etc can now be recorded in LiveAccounts.
- You can record payroll related details such tax declarations, pre and post tax additions and deductions to be factored in the pay calculation.
- A new Past Pay Run report has been added to the Reports list. This will enable you to print past detailed payslips or pay run totals.
- When you complete a pay run, your accounts will be automatically updated for you.

- We’ve enhanced the banking feature so that the messages for unmatched transactions are now more accurate.
- To allow you more flexibility when entering contact details, you can now enter email addresses that contain hyphens or domains like .info, .net etc.
- We’ve added the ability to use special characters in your contacts’ names.
- LiveAccounts now handles partial refunds more accurately.
- For Advisors, we’ve added some links to useful promotional materials in your Admin Centre.

- We’ve streamlined the end of year process by removing the need to complete one financial year before you start a new one. This development means you’ll be able to continue working on your business as normal, as your accountant completes your end of financial accounts.
- For our Kiwi clients, we have removed the 15% and 12.5% icons that were displaying in the banking screen.
- You can now drill down into transactions displayed in the Banking screen with a single click.
- For our Kiwi clients, we’ve added the option to select 2012 as your current financial year.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- Selecting items on your invoices has been improved, particularly when you have a large number of items to choose from.
- We’ve made some improvements to the signup process. These include:
- highlighting any errors as you enter your information, not when you submit the form
- immediately notifying you if the username you’ve chosen is already taken
- making it easier to read the CAPTCHA validation text
- no longer requiring you to choose which month to start entering transactions. Transactions can now be entered from the first month of your chosen financial year.
- The bank statement import process has been improved so you can choose which account you would like to import your transactions into.
- You can now use special characters (such as %, $ or !) in the Notes field on invoices and expenses.
- We’ve updated the Unpaid Invoices and Unpaid Expenses reports so that you can now view your unpaid invoice or expense information as at a particular past or future date. We’ve also made improvements to the formatting and sorting features in these reports.
- Invoices can now be saved when special characters are entered in the Item field.
- We’ve made some adjustments to the way discounts are applied to your invoices. The amount applied is no longer limited to whole-dollar amounts.
- The Accounts report has been improved so you can now choose to view your account balances as at a specified date in the past.
- The Accountants Export file now correctly imports into MYOB Accountants Office.
- We’ve improved the automatic time out feature so you can log in again without restarting your web browser.
- Based on client feedback, the Top 5 Expenses section of the homepage no longer includes Equity accounts.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- We had a couple of reports of certain invoices or expenses listing twice. This has been fixed.
- For LiveAccounts Advisors, we’ve improved the “hand over” process by ensuring a unique username is assigned to each business created. This is particularly relevant for Advisors who are creating demonstration businesses for themselves.
- The authorisation form for linking your bank accounts as been improved to have more room for a witness signature.
- To help us continue to improve LiveAccounts, we’ve added some analytical tools to help us better understand the ways you use LiveAccounts.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- We’ve added support for more web browsers and removed access restrictions for non-supported browsers. LiveAccounts now supports Firefox (version 3.5 and above), Internet Explorer (version 7 and above), Safari (version 4 and above) and Chrome (version 2.5 and above).
- We’ve fixed problems experienced by a small number of users in the Bank Reconciliation screen and Bank Reconciliation report.
- We’ve made changes to the Bank Authorisation form so that it now prints correctly on a Mac computer using Safari and Firefox.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- We’ve improved the useability of the Bank transactions page, so that it’s now faster and easier to navigate to the bank transactions you’re after.
- To allow you to quickly generate a GST Report, we’ve removed some of the filter options that you would have already set elsewhere in LiveAccounts.
- As part of ongoing improvements to the Draft invoice feature, we’ve temporarily replaced the Save as draft and Save as final buttons in the Print invoice popup window with a single Save button. We’ll be making further improvements to this feature in upcoming releases.
- We’ve simplified the LiveAccounts sign-up page, so that new users can easily complete their registration.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s one of the new enhancements included in the latest release.
- As requested by some of our larger clients, you can now create your General Ledger Details report in Microsoft Excel format, as well as in PDF. For clients with a lot of data, using the Excel format means the report will generate within a few seconds.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- We’ve increased the loading speed of the Bank transactions page, so that your bank and credit card transactions now load in seconds.
- We’ve fixed a display issue on the Bank transactions page so that for bank transactions relating to customer and supplier returns, the Allocate or Match column now clearly shows which return in LiveAccounts the bank transaction has been automatically matched to.
- For our Kiwi clients, we’ve added a new Exceptions report to highlight transactions that may have an incorrect GST rate (for example, 12.5% GST instead of 15%). We’ve also updated the GST Return (IRD Form) to incorporate the 15% GST rate.
- For our Kiwi clients, we’ve improved the layout of the GST Report (Detailed) and GST Report (Summary), to make them easier to read.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- When you select a non-standard GST rate (for example, GST Free) for an item on an invoice, the correct GST amount for the rate you’ve chosen will now be calculated and displayed on the item line.
- All invoice and expense reports have now been updated to display invoice and expense numbers, making it easier for you to find the transactions you’re looking for.
- Any journal entries you create are now displayed as part of the Transaction History report.

We regularly update MYOB LiveAccounts for you. Here’s some of the new features, enhancements and fixes included in the latest release.
- For our New Zealand users we’ve included a range of tools to help you transition to the new GST rate of 15% on the 1st of October. You can access help pages and videos about the GST increase, and we’ve also included information throughout LiveAccounts™ to help you along the way.
- When you create allocation rules, you can now more accurately specify amounts by entering dollars and cents.
- When you split bank transaction amounts between two or more accounts, the wording Split Transaction now appears in the Allocate or Match column of the Bank transactions page.
- Based on your feedback we’ve made a number of improvements to the General journals feature to make it easier for you to record journal entries.
