Australia’s largest provider of business management software, MYOB is pleased to announce the appointment of Caroline Ruddick as its new General Manager, Marketing.
Ms Ruddick brings with her almost two decades of marketing experience, having most recently held senior brand marketing positions at SEEK Ltd in Melbourne, Grey Worldwide in New York and George Paterson Partners in Melbourne. During her time as SEEK’s Marketing Manager, Brand Strategy, she developed several successful integrated brand marketing campaigns, including the recent ‘If it exists’ campaign and the 2007 ‘Curious’ campaign.
Earlier in her career Ms Ruddick held brand marketing positions at Procter & Gamble and Mars Confectionary of Australia (Masterfoods). She has also worked as an associate lecturer for the Faculty of Economics at the University of Sydney, and as a business analyst and accountant at Price Waterhouse Coopers in Sydney.
MYOB CEO Tim Reed says Ms Ruddick’s extensive strategic brand management experience across a number of fast-paced sectors, most importantly the online sector, made her the perfect candidate to play a leading role in telling the next chapter of the MYOB story.
“Thanks to her considerable strategic marketing experience and deep understanding of the digital economy, Caroline immediately understood our Connected Business vision. She appreciates the important role online plays within our growth plans,” he says.
“Caroline has a strong business and commercial acumen to draw from in developing our campaigns for 2012 and beyond. During her career she has successfully developed and executed numerous multi-product and multi-channel strategies that not only engage the public, but also encourage interaction.
“We work closely with more than one million businesses throughout Australia and New Zealand to develop solutions that best fit their individual work requirements and lifestyles. Two-way communication is an integral part of our business model moving forward.”
Ms Ruddick says her new role is an opportunity to become part of an impressive local company that is entering a new era and to further develop an already-strong brand.
“MYOB is a well-established and respected company with a terrific team of highly qualified employees and partners. I am looking forward to working closely with the team on a range of new and existing projects,” she says.
“The dual focus of this role is to support existing marketing and communications functions while exploring new opportunities. It’s an exciting proposition for any marketing practitioner - after all, more than 40% of SMEs in Australia and New Zealand use our products.”
Ms Ruddick will lead MYOB’s marketing efforts across Australia and New Zealand, managing brand strategy, marketing services, public relations, corporate affairs and social media.-ENDS-
