MYOB has just launched an Australian-first with its new, low latency, locally-based cloud platform, built specifically to give greater control to its website designer and developer partners - Ilisys Cloud Services.
The platform has a number of first to market features that make its speed, ease of use and performance unmatched. These include live switching of the application stack and pre-configured Varnish caching for popular applications.
Since Ilisys launched its first cluster in 2004, pioneering cloud hosting in Australia, it has been the hosting platform for 20,000+ Australian businesses making their way on the web. Its growth is driven by designers and developers who choose the technology for its simplicity and reliability.
MYOB’s website division general manager, Matt Mulligan, founded Ilisys prior to its acquisition by the business software provider in 2008. Since then he has worked on the Getting Aussie Business Online initiative MYOB and Google launched in partnership last year.
Mulligan says, “No one else in Australia has done what we’ve just done in launching Ilisys Cloud Services. I’m so proud and excited that we’ve successfully built a platform for developers and designers that’ll support the smoothest website deployments in this country.”
“This is easy-to-use cloud, delivered locally at low latency through a developer-friendly control panel. It’s high-performance infrastructure made available and affordable to everyday SMEs and their digital partners.
“Ilisys is delivering unique performance levels and the tools that our partners need to develop and run busy marketing and ecommerce websites. Since 2004 this business has been centred around partnering with web professionals and it’s such a thrill to take them to the next level with our new technology.”
In further detail, the Australian-first cloud features are:
“It’s when you have a big campaign push… that’s when you really need your cloud provider to just work, but it’s often not until that pressure comes along that things fall down,” Mulligan says.
One such campaign is www.peeptoe.com.au by developers Flint Interactive. The high traffic website was deployed to the Ilisys Cloud Platform’s preview phase and has behaved smoothly since, exceeding service KPIs. PeepToe’s clientele are passionate about fashion, and even more so when the latest styles are on sale. It is critical that the website has the ability to cope with huge spikes in traffic during sale periods, where typically it receives per day over:
Flint Interactive accounts director Danielle Stephens says, “With Ilisys we enjoy a great working relationship. They are responsive and professional to deal with. Ilisys is our preferred partner of choice.”
Other key features of the new cloud platform are:
E-commerce optimised
Simple website deployment
Service you can count on
